Kids Cafe: School Year

Kids Cafe operates the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) during the school year, which is a federally funded food program that provides USDA approved meals to low-income, school-aged children participating in afterschool programs. All meals include protein, grain, dairy, fruits and vegetables as prescribed by USDA meal pattern requirements. The Kids Cafe Freeze & Thaw model is for rural sites for which daily delivery of meals is not an option. Freeze & Thaw sites get monthly bulk deliveries of shelf stable and frozen products which also adhere to USDA meal standards.
