Office Of Land and Emergency Management (OLEM) Tribal Program Support Cooperative Agreements
Application Deadline: October 10, 2024
OLEM’s primary goal under this funding opportunity is to help Tribes build capacity – through training, technical assistance, research, and tools – to develop their own OLEM-related programs and participate in cleanup, prevention, and response programs. OLEM works to support Tribal sovereign authority and promote compliance with federal and Tribal environmental statutes and regulations in Indian country while upholding EPA’s Indian Policy principles.
Women’s Development Grants
Application Deadline: October 11, 2024 *application closes at 5:00pm in Arizona*
They are committed to investing in efforts that increase education and economic opportunities for citizens in rural operating communities. In particular, they want to ensure that women have suitable, relevant, functional opportunities to be full participants in economic development and attain greater levels of prosperity. The Freeport-McMoRan Women’s Development Fund supports organizations providing women and girls with opportunities to: Advance attainment, matriculation or graduation; create or expand businesses; and increase financial capability and employment.
Community Impact Grants
Application Period: February 1 – October 15 annually
Encompassing all of their core program areas, Community Impact Grants respond to the diverse needs in each of the communities they serve, operating in 11 of the 15 counties in Arizona. They are focused on driving impact through strategic partnerships, programs and grants to make the greatest impact with additional consideration is given to programs that serve under-resourced populations.
Preserve Route 66 Grant Fund
Application Deadline: October 16, 2024
The National Trust for Historic Preservation’s Preserve Route 66 Grant Fund provides financial support to public agencies, tribal governments or nonprofit organizations to preserve and interpret historic places along the Route 66 corridor. The National Trust has a special interest in illuminating the narratives of communities whose places and stories have been historically underrepresented, which may include communities and neighborhoods along the Route 66 corridor associated with People of Color (including but not limited to indigenous peoples, Latinx, Black Americans and others), women, immigrants, LGBTQIA communities, veterans, and economically distressed communities.
Rooting Resilience: Funding and Technical Assistance for Urban and Community Forestry Projects
Application Deadline: End of October
The Rooting Resilience Program, with funding provided by the Inflation Reduction Act and the USDA Forest Service, Urban and Community Forestry Program, will provide funding and technical assistance to community-based projects that build resilience and capacity for the planning and implementation of forestry projects. This opportunity is available for projects located in federally-designated disadvantaged communities, including urban, suburban, and rural. Special priority will be given to eligible groups that are seeking federal funding for the first time.
Community Food Projects Competitive Grant Program
Application Deadline: November 7, 2024
This notice identifies the objectives for Community Food Projects Competitive Grant Program (CFPCGP) projects, deadlines, funding information, eligibility criteria for projects and applicants, and application forms and associated instructions. In FY 2024 NIFA’s CFPCGP intends to solicit applications and fund two types of grants. The grant types are Planning Projects (PP) and Community Food Projects (CFP).
Specialty Crop Research Initiative

The purpose of the Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI) program is to address the critical needs of the specialty crop industry by awarding grants to support research and extension that address key challenges of national, regional, and multi-state importance in sustaining all components of food and agriculture, including conventional and organic food production systems. Pre-applications may only be submitted by Federal agencies, national laboratories, colleges and universities, research institutions and organizations, private organizations, foundations, or corporations, State Agricultural Experiment Stations, Cooperative Extension Services, individuals, or groups consisting of two or more of these entities.
FY 2024 Competitive Funding Opportunity: Tribal Transit Program

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for $9,169,076 in competitive grants for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Public Transportation on Indian Reservations (Tribal Transit) Program under Assistance Listing Number 20.509. Eligible applicants under this program must be providing public transportation services in rural areas.
FY25 Guidelines for Brownfield Assessment Grants (Assessment Coalition Grants)

Founded in 1980, First Nations began its national grantmaking program in 1993 and through year-end 2023, they have successfully managed 3,385 grants totaling $79.9 million to Native American projects and organizations in 45 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. Territory American Samoa. Their grantmaking program provides both financial and technical resources to tribes and Native nonprofit organizations to support asset-based development efforts.

The Arizona Economic Resource Center (AZERC) aims to enable eligible Arizona cities, towns, counties, tribal communities, and nonprofits to win and implement competitive federal, state, municipal, or foundation grants. An initiative of Local First Arizona, the Arizona Economic Resource Center provides the following services, free of charge, to qualifying entities: Grant Writing, Reviewing & Editing, Budget Guidance, Facilitation, Project Management, Economic Impact Analysis, and Strategic Planning.
Majestic Realty Foundation Grants

The Majestic Realty Foundation funds well-established service providers focusing on youth, education, family, health, and violence prevention in their core geographic markets. To begin the grant request process, nonprofit organizations with a focus and geographic reach matching the Majestic Realty Foundation objectives should submit in writing a letter of introduction.
JSF Indigenous Peoples Grant Program
Application Period: Open Year-Round
JSF makes grants to organizations that help people overcome barriers to education and employment. Addressing these barriers enables them to graduate and find good jobs, thereby contributing to and enriching their communities. JSF assists people indirectly by making grants to schools, universities, and non-profits, and funds initiatives such as scholarships, mentoring, tutoring and internships.

TAPAZ is a full-service fiscal sponsor focused on providing behind-the-scenes support to local nonprofits. Fiscal sponsorship allows TAPAZ to accept and disburse funds for projects and programs, allowing nonprofits to focus on carrying out their mission. Blue Meridian Partners seeks to transform the life trajectories of young people and families in poverty by investing in strategies that advance economic and social mobility and equitable opportunity. They assist stand-alone nonprofits with a history of service to young people and families in poverty in the U.S., and are financially viable, with a budget greater than $1,000,000.
