Become an Agency Partner

Thank you for your interest in serving your community through a partnership with St. Mary’s Food Bank. We are proud to team up with food pantries, congregate meal sites, residential facilities, and child nutrition sites across the state of Arizona, whom we call Agency Partners, to serve those in need. Currently, we partner with 800+ organizations across 76,000 square miles of Arizona, devoting adequate resources to support food distributions and providing training tools to help our Agency Partners fulfill their missions.

Agency Services Programs

Programs at St. Mary’s Food Bank aim to end hunger and provide aid to families in need.

TEFAP

• The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) is quality product funded by the USDA for neighbors that reside in Arizona.

• Partner must be open to the public to receive pre-packaged Emergency Food Boxes (EFB), TEFAP bulk items, or Large Family Bags (LFB).

• Input individual neighbor data into Link2Feed.

• The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is quality product funded by the USDA for seniors that reside in Arizona.

• Caseload management required to distribute pre-packaged nutritious boxes with cheese.

• Input individual neighbor data into Link2Feed.

Donated

• SMFB’s donated product is sourced from generous individuals, community groups, grocery stores, farmers, and manufacturers.

• No income or geographical limitations for distribution.

• Obtain basic neighbor data via sign-in sheets and report total number of neighbors served each month in Link2Feed.

• Approved sites can purchase low-cost, high demand products, often unavailable through our donation channels.

• Products and pricing are shared via email daily based on current availability, picked up at SMFB’s Phoenix warehouse or delivered.

• Participation in this program requires participation in another program.

Grocery Rescue

• Pick up local food from Feeding America’s contracted grocery store(s), limited availability.

• Track poundage received and report through Meal Connect, an online Feeding America platform.

• Requires proper transportation and storage to maintain product safety.

• Shop at SMFB’s Phoenix warehouse or at SMFB Agency Partner for specific products and quantities to diversify neighbor offerings.

• Popular with congregate meal sites due to variety of bulk product.

Child Nutrition Programs

Child Nutrition Programs at St. Mary’s Food Bank aim to end child hunger and provide aid to families in need.

Kids Cafe

• After-school nutritious meals provided free of cost to all school-age children after school, on weekends, and during the summer.

• Meals offered at least three days per week for a minimum of 45 meals a week.

• Complete a daily log to track the number of meals distributed.

Freeze & Thaw

• Kid-friendly, nutritious meals provided to all school-age children where daily delivery of meals is not possible.

• Meals offered at least three days per week for a minimum of 45 meals a week.

• Complete a daily log to track the number of meals distributed.

Backpack

• Backpacks are intended to assist children who are missing meals over the weekend, with each bag providing enough food for a family of four and snacks for after-school during the week.

• Distribution may take about two hours a week, depending on the number of families served.

• Report weekly distribution records electronically.
