- Who Needs Food Safety Training (FST)?

- Every SMFB agency partner must have at least 2 individuals with current FST.

- A trained person must be available at each distribution.

- FST follows the individual, not the organization.

- If they leave, another person must obtain certification.
- How to Obtain Food Safety Training

- SMFB Nonperishable Food Safety Training

- SMFB offers a Food Safety Training specifically for agencies that distribute nonperishable items only.

- If your agency later expands its product offerings through your SMFB partnership, you will be required to obtain the standard Food Safety Training (FST).

- Additional certifications may be required for repacking bulk items.

- Exams are detailed and non-refundable, so study materials are recommended.
